The Daily Mail and other media have been reporting over the last week or two an attack on a nurse by a large pig while out riding on horseback in Brockis Hill Road, near Southampton in Hampshire, England.
Nurse Robinson was thrown from the horse, further attacked by the pig and saved by her daughter's efforts to distract it. She required hospital treatment. The pig went away into the bushes and has not been caught.
Brockis Hill is a hill in the New Forest - an extensive wooded area about 70 miles South West of London.
Such an attack is relevant to consideration of the identity of the Beast of Bodmin. Could wild boar be the answer to both monster mysteries?
